Hello darlings

We wanted to apologize for the lack of posts the past couple of weeks. We’ve both been dealing with far too much personal drama and it’s gotten in the way of things we enjoy, like running this blog.

We’re both in Vegas taking a break from reality computerless through the weekend but we promise more posts when we get home!

Love,
Stella and Olive

Hi, I just found this blog today. I'm a girl and weigh at least 180lbs. I used to be 160, but then started college and gained on a whole fucking twenty pounds in one semester. I've made a resolution this year that whenever I eat food in the cafe on campus, that I'm going to start out with a salad first. I've stuck to it so far.

Good! We’re glad you found something that you can stick to that sounds like it’s healthy. Almost everyone gains weight their first semester away at college. It sucks, but it’s super easy to fall into bad eating habits with the options schools give. So don’t let this discourage you! Good luck with your goals :)

I have been a "big girl" my whole life, Finally (and slowly) learning to feel beautiful in my skin. This blog was funny and relatable, thanks! And to all the girls who are afraid no one will ever love you because of how you look, that's totally bull. Focus on who you are, that's so much more important and attractive.

Yay! We’re glad you found us :)

I wish more girls could have a sense of humor about their weights like you do! I have been thin, fat, and everywhere in between. The fact that some girls hate themselves for their weight, and feel worthless, and unworthy of love is the most ridiculous thing i have heard of. If you cant love yourself as you are, it wont matter how much you weigh, the negativity will always be with you. I hope they find something to love, embrace it and work on the rest, love and happiness is not related to size

Exactly! Thanks for the support <3

like the other anon i really tried exercising and almost every diet there is i keep gaining weight no matter what i do im seventeen im five ft three at a ridiculous weight of two hundrad fourty four lbs someone my height and age should NOT be that much im getting the lapband done in the summer and its really scary and sad that i have to go through this at such a young age my mom had to get gasterol bypass and shes had life threatening complications from it and idk what if it doesnt help me

I’m so sorry, love. This sounds challenging. I don’t want to persuade or dissuade you from surgery because I’m not well-educated about options, but I do know people who have had success with it. Best of luck to you and I know everything will work out the way it should <3 As for worrying that it won’t help, I’m sure the doctors wouldn’t have you undergo this process at your age if they didn’t think that it would be beneficial.

the thing I love the most about your blog is that it seems to radiate love and happiness. you're doing an awesome job! as a girl with extreme weight fluctuations I can only say: being thin doesn't make one any happier. if anything, it made me more suspicious of other people because I thought they were all shallow for suddenly being nice to me. You'll always be the same person inside and your weight doesn't change that. That's what I learned :)

Thanks for sharing! This is a large part of the blog/message we want to send out. Weight isn’t everything. You have to find happiness within yourself! (But we’re here for you when this gets hard.)

I'm 16, 5' 8", and I weigh about 335 pounds. Any advice on how I can lose weight? I just want something that's easier to stick to than cutting out carbs or eating under 1300 calories. /:

I don’t know if you want to count calories, but a website that I found and love that seems to give you a fair number of daily calories is sparkpeople.com. They have an app for smartphones, which makes it even easier. Plus, they have a ton of user-entered foods, like restaurants at meals, that make identifying what you are eating simple.

Other than that, exercise and overall eating well. But please, please stick to healthy methods, or you could do more harm than damage. Good luck!

My mom had anorexia when she was a teenager, and she still deals with it everyday. She works out constantly and thinks she is fat when in my eyes she is the most beautiful person out there. Sometimes she makes fun of bigger people not out of hatred but just because she deals with body issues herself. I am 225lbs and it makes me so self conscious sometimes. But i have to remind myself that i am beautiful not matter what size i am. I just wanted to thank you for this blog.

You ARE beautiful and we’re so glad you recognize that! If the situation with your mom proves to be problematic with your body acceptance, you may want to sit down and tell her that the comments she says make you uncomfortable. But as long as you can ignore them, then carry on :)

The messed up thing is that this blog is for "everyone" but if there was a skinny girls blog no one would post any of our pictures :(

We are for everyone. This started as a blog for plus size girls, but we won’t turn anyone away :)

Edit: We also don’t post anyone’s pictures and our problems are still written from a plus size perspective. -Olive
